BIBI, a bioinformatics bacterial identification tool.
BIBI was designed to automate DNA sequence analysis for bacterial identification in the clinical field. BIBI relies on the use of BLAST and CLUSTAL W programs applied to different subsets of sequences extracted from GenBank. These sequences are filtered and stored in a new database, which is adapted to bacterial identification.
متن کاملLipid Data Analyzer: unattended identification and quantitation of lipids in LC-MS data
MOTIVATION The accurate measurement of the lipidome permits insights into physiological and pathological processes. Of the present high-throughput technologies, LC-MS especially bears potential of monitoring quantitative changes in hundreds of lipids simultaneously. In order to extract valuable information from huge amount of mass spectrometry data, the aid of automated, reliable, highly sensit...
متن کاملDIA: a tool for objective intelligibility assessment of pathological speech
Intelligibility is generally accepted to be a very relevant measure in the assessment of pathological speech. In clinical practice, intelligibility is measured using one of the many existing perceptual tests. These tests usually have the drawback that they employ unnatural speech material (e.g. nonsense words) and that they cannot fully exclude errors due to the listener's bias. This raises the...
متن کاملA statistical test for outlier identification in data envelopment analysis
In the use of peer group data to assess individual, typical or best practice performance, the effective detection of outliers is critical for achieving useful results. In these ‘‘deterministic’’ frontier models, statistical theory is now mostly available. This paper deals with the statistical pared sample method and its capability of detecting outliers in data envelopment analysis. In the prese...
متن کاملComparative Analyses of Data Independent Acquisition Mass Spectrometric Approaches: DIA, WiSIM‐DIA, and Untargeted DIA
Data-independent acquisition (DIA) is an emerging technology for quantitative proteomics. Current DIA focusses on the identification and quantitation of fragment ions that are generated from multiple peptides contained in the same selection window of several to tens of m/z. An alternative approach is WiSIM-DIA, which combines conventional DIA with wide-SIM (wide selected-ion monitoring) windows...
